AEIOU Foundation’s social media community guidelines
We use this page to raise awareness and promote positive discussion about early intervention for children with autism. We welcome you to be part of the conversation, keeping in mind this platform needs to remain a supportive environment for all involved. As such, we have some guidelines in place to ensure all discussions are fair and appropriate for our community. As a children’s organisation, privacy is our main priority. Please do not post any personal information which might identify either yourself or another person, child, family or staff member. In addition, any reference to claims against a child or a staff member working with our children will be immediately removed from the site and you will be asked to make contact with us in person. If you have something important to discuss with us, please do so via the correct channels such as your Centre Manager or Central Office.
What is acceptable
- Informed debate and discussion,
- Courteous, respectful and supportive comments
- Free expression of opinion
What is not
- Misleading or inaccurate remarks
- Threatening or harassing tone
- Defamatory, disrespectful, rude or profane language or comments
- Discouraging to others who want to engage
- Repetitive content which is consistently off topic or judged to be "trolling"
- Solicitations or advertisements
- Facilitating illegal activity
- Hate speech directly attacking people based on their: race, ethnicity, nationality, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender or disability
How we moderate
As the administrators of AEIOU Foundation’s official Facebook page, we reserve the right to moderate and remove content we deem to be inappropriate, offensive or off-topic. If we do so, we’ll make sure you are aware what has occurred. If we find ourselves removing your content on a regular basis, we may be required to block you as a user from our page for a period of time.
